2008 Picnic Schedule

GPPS Summer Picnics will be every other Wednesday throughout the summer on the school playground from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Bring your own picnic and let the kids play on the playground or in the sandbox. It’s a great time to meet the teacher, greet old friends and welcome incoming families. Note: due to a church event, the August 6th picnic will be near the picnic tables and playground at Gabriel Park, just up the hill on S.W. Vermont.

Main Room

In the Main Room, children can chose from many activities set up at centers around the room.  They can build with blocks, building toys, puzzles or play dough. There’s always something interesting to do at the touch table. The Main Room is also where we serve snack and have Lunch Bunch.

Art Supply Room

In the Art Supply Room, the teacher and parent helpers prepare materials each day for age appropriate art projects. Adults lend a hand but the students always create the masterpieces themselves. This room also serves as the school office.

Imagination Room

The "Imagination Room" is where kids read, play dress up and listen to music. This is also where we have "Dramatic Play" time. Part of the room is always set up with a dramatic play theme like restaurant, kitchen, post office, campsite, fire station, etc.

Our Playground

Children love our playground! They play in the sand box, ride trikes, blow bubbles and enjoy being together rain or shine.

Our Students

We have lots of fun! Some of our favorite things to do are birthday celebrations and field trips.  One of our most favorite field trips is across the street to Gabriel Park where we discover all sorts of treasures.
