Programs

The Pre-K Program is designed for the older student who will attend kindergarten the following year.  The Pre-K Program provides older students opportunities to build on previous experiences and explore ideas for longer periods of time. In this program, children are encouraged to ask questions and explore their environment for answers and knowledge.  The curriculum presents math, language, writing, and reading concepts in context with the child's interests and developmental skills.

The Preschool and Pre-K Programs are taught together in our mixed age classroom (ages 3-4 years). This age range provides valuable opportunities for social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development at a variety of developmental levels. In addition, this setting allows children to explore multiple roles such as learner, teacher, and leader.  The maximum number of 16 students in the classroom each day allows the teacher to provide a diverse curriculum rich with unique and developmentally appropriate goals for each child.

The Pre-K Program is a four day program that meets Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

The Preschool Program focuses on cognitive, social, and emotional growth.  Children are encouraged to identify and express their needs and get those needs met in an appropriate manner, essential skills that last a lifetime.  This class builds social skills, independence, and confidence.  The Preschool Program provides opportunities for art exploration, fine and gross motor skills, language building, writing, and math games.
